![]() The motel charged us an additional $10 per night for parking a second car. The room came with breakfast, and a shuttle to and from the hospital so we didn't have to keep paying for hospital parking, and internet which allowed my mother to update family and friends on changes in my brother's condition. I reserved a room for 3 days initially, consisting of 2 beds for the 3 of us. ![]() After numerous calls, we found a Comfort Inn that had a special rate of $95 plus tax per night for people with family being treated at the Cleveland Clinic. Monday we were given a list of motels to contact to see where we might be able to stay in the downtown area. The other choice we were told about was Starbucks which was also 24 hrs. We stayed that night in the family waiting room and ate soups and sandwiches costing over $60 for the 3 of us from the 24-hour Panera Bread restaurant located in the hospital. Both these trips were over 3 hours and consumed a lot of gasoline. I drove my mother from Lakeview, Ohio and Susan came from Dayton, Ohio to be with Jeff. He was admitted to the cardiac intensive care unit. ![]() The initial plan was to get him to Cleveland Clinic and take him right into emergency surgery, but this was changed upon arrival. ![]()
